Most mornings I hit my snooze button 3 or 4 times before finally dragging myself out of bed, leaving me limited amounts of time to look pulled together for work. It is at this point I think “what the f**k would I do without Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser”.
You see before the world of work I would easily spend 20 minutes carefully priming, smoothing and blending in a full coverage foundation like M.A.C Studio Fix, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation or Chanel Perfection Lumière. However, things drastically changed when I began working, my time got more precious and as much as I love all of these foundations I just didn’t have time Monday-Friday. Here Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser remains a symbol of this and my new found (maybe faked) maturity and my new grown up working life.
This hero gives me a smooth even finish with an additional dewy glow without the need for a buffing brush, primer or even a mirror. By simply warming it in my palms and rubbing into my skin I get a streak free cover which conceals my late-night Netflix binges or Patsy level nights out with a thin veil of luminosity.
Compared to most tinted moisturisers its tint acts more like a medium coverage foundation without compromising on the ease and lightness of moisturiser. Plus it still looks perfectly natural and is so convincing as ‘my own skin’ even my friend has fallen for its “no I’m not wearing anything” cover. Armed with this and a lashing of mascara I can feel perfectly prepared for facing my boss, colleagues and clients – it is a real winner.
It’s plastic tube also makes it perfect for travel, where I can sling it into my carry on without worrying about losing a lid or breaking a glass bottle- #jetset. Better yet it stays put for the majority of the day, it even stays on when I decide to actually be a healthy 20-year-old and get my sweat on in the gym, where let’s be honest you don’t want to be wearing a full cover foundation in the first place.
I fully recommend this tint for any ‘Working Girl’ (great film btw) as it is a real 9-5 hero, so much so I keep a backup on my desk just in case I do end up hitting the snooze button a few extra times.
